The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia (CFGP), which manages the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s annual Catholic Charities Appeal, has welcomed a new Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO).
In an Jan. 11 announcement, CFGP announced the appointment of Garrett Owen as CPO and a member of the independent nonprofit’s senior executive management team.
Owen comes to CFGP with more than 15 years of experience in non-profit fundraising with a proven track record of achieving and surpassing annual and campaign fundraising goals.
Prior to joining CFGP, Owen served as the Senior Director of Development at Doylestown Health where he helped to successfully lead and complete a five-year, $100 million comprehensive campaign.
“As a lifelong Catholic, I am inspired by the work of CFGP and its guiding principles grounded in faith and service,” said Owen. “I look forward to working with the dedicated staff and Board of Trustees, as well as donors throughout the region, to help make a difference in the lives of others and transform our communities through the power of philanthropy.”
Owen holds a B.A. from Providence College in Rhode Island. He is also a parishioner at St. Agnes Church in Sellersville and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He lives in Perkasie, Bucks County with his family.
