Published annually by CatholicPhilly, The Catholic Directory of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia recently took on a new, all digital format.
The digital directory has something for everyone, including listings of priests and parishes; local Catholic universities; high schools, parish and regional elementary schools, and schools of special education; sections on men and women religious; retreat centers; Catholic hospitals; social service ministries assisting those in need; and lay organizations; cemeteries and much more.
Brief biographies on Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez, and other bishops of Philadelphia are also provided.
All the secretariats, departments, and administrative offices of the Archdiocese are identified as well, including those located at the Archdiocesan Pastoral Center, 222 North 17th Street in Philadelphia.
Our local Church’s 214 parishes are listed with each individual parish page including address, contact information, Mass times, accessibility information; and other information important to parish communities.
Parishes can be searched alphabetically by name; city; or by counties including Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Philadelphia-North, and Philadelphia-South.
Faithful can search for accessible parishes that provide American Sign Language interpretation and for churches and confessionals that are equipped with Assistive Listening Device (ALD) for those who are hard of hearing.
Church buildings that offer accessible entrances, parking, curb cuts, and ramps to entrances as well as restroom facilities adapted for wheelchair users are also available for search.
New in the parishes section is a listing on how to access spiritual records such as baptismal and marriage records.
Users can also search the directory using keyword’s including names and locations. Other listings include charitable giving and Eastern Rite Catholic Churches in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
The online directory is available at no cost and can be accessed 24/7 by visiting the main menu located on the top of the archdiocesan website. To view the new online directory, visit here.
