Four young adult women from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia participated in the 2024 GIVEN Catholic Young Women’s Leadership Forum June 8 – 12 in Washington, D.C.
Aurora Pomales of St. Helena Parish in Philadelphia; Meghan Wickersham of St. Patrick Parish in Malvern; Marissa Rivera of Holy Innocents Parish in Philadelphia; and Maria Pilar Gastelbondo of St. Eleanor Parish in Collegeville attended the event and were sponsored by the archdiocesan Office for the New Evangelization and the Office for Ministry with Young Adults.
Their trip was made possible through a scholarship drawn from the proceeds of the annual Catholic Women’s Conference sponsored by the Office for the New Evangelization.
The GIVEN Forum is a formation initiative that helps young adult Catholic women to go deeper in their relationship with Christ and with him, to identify their particular leadership gifts that he is calling them to put in service of the Gospel.
As a part of the GIVEN cohort, these four women will also participate in a year-long, one-on-one mentorship process that will assist them in implementing action plans focusing on their strengths here in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
