Sister Margaret Mary Fleming, SSJ
Sister Margaret Mary Fleming SSJ, (formerly Sister William Marguerite), age 90, died on October 20, 2024, at Saint Joseph Villa.
The daughter of the late William and Margaret (nee Tully) Fleming, she attended Tuscan School in Maplewood NJ and Our Lady of the Valley High School in Orange, NJ.
In September 1956 she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1964.
Sister Margaret ministered in the dioceses of Philadelphia and Trenton.
She is preceded in death by her brother William Fleming. She is survived by cousins and members of her Congregation, the Sisters of Saint Joseph.
Visitation by relatives and friends will begin at 9:30 am on October 28, 2024, at Saint Joseph Villa in Flourtown. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Services will be live-streamed from the Saint Joseph Villa website www.stjosephvilla.org.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sister’s name to Saint Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave, Flourtown, Pa 19031.
