Sister Marie C. Fenton SSJ, (formerly S. Josephita), age 89, died October 10, 2024, at Saint Joseph Villa.

The daughter of the late Florenz and Mary (nee Murphy) Fenton, she attended Ascension Grade School and Little Flower High School.

In September 1953 she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1961.

Sister Marie ministered in the dioceses of Camden and Philadelphia.

She is preceded in death by her brother Bud (Florenz Joseph) Fenton, and her sister, S. Eileen Fenton, SSJ. She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and their extended families, and members of her Congregation, the Sisters of Saint Joseph.

Visitation by relatives and friends will begin at 9:30 am on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Saint Joseph Villa in Flourtown. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Services will be live streamed from the Saint Joseph Villa website www.stjosephvilla.org.
