Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez celebrated the Holy Thursday evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper April 17 at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia.
The Mass commemorates the Last Supper, during which Christ instituted the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist and gave the commandment to love one another. Following the example of Christ who washed the feet of the Apostles at the Last Supper, the archbishop washed the feet of the faithful. (Photos by Sarah Webb)
