St. Hubert Catholic High School for Girls in Northeast Philadelphia has received a $1 million donation from alumna Susan Muller Anderson and her husband, James Anderson, to establish The Susan Muller Anderson ′68 Performing Arts Center.

Susan, a 1968 graduate, comes from a family with deep ties to St. Hubert, including her mother, aunts, and sisters. She is the owner and president of SJA Construction, Inc., while James Anderson, a Father Judge High School graduate, leads James J. Anderson Construction Company, Inc.

The new performing arts center will feature a renovated auditorium with modernized seating for 840 people, updated flooring, enhanced lighting and sound systems, and improved stage facilities. It will serve as a venue for student performances, worship gatherings, and community events, with rental opportunities available for local businesses.

Susan Anderson emphasized her family’s commitment to supporting education and the arts in Northeast Philadelphia, saying, “We feel it is important to give back to the neighborhood and help the next generation of leaders find their way to a bright future.”

St. Hubert President Dr. Lizanne Pando highlighted the center’s impact on student opportunities, noting that the school’s enrollment has increased by 18% following investments in arts education.
