Archbishop Nelson Pérez attended a pastoral listening session held for Spanish-speaking Catholics on May 14 at St. Laurence Church in Upper Darby, part of a series of gatherings across the five-county Archdiocese of Philadelphia. These sessions provide an opportunity for the faithful to share their voices and engage in discussions about the Church’s future, as outlined in the archbishop’s recently published pastoral letter.
Attendees heard from Archbishop Pérez, Auxiliary Bishop Christopher Cooke, who shares pastoral responsibility for the Spanish-speaking Catholic community in the archdiocese, and Ximena DeBroeck, a leadership consultant at the Catholic Leadership Institute. CLI collaborates with the archdiocesan Office for Strategy, which plays a key role in implementing the plan that will carry out the archbishop’s vision for the Church in Philadelphia.
