Sister Patricia Ann Cabrey died in Camilla Hall on May 20, 2025, in the 65^th year of her religious life.             Sister Patricia Ann was born on July 5, 1941. Sister’s parents Charles and Dorothy (Adamik) Cabrey raised Sister Patricia and her brother Charles Joseph in Our Lady of Calvary Parish in Philadelphia.

Pat attended St. Bernard Elementary (1947-1955) and St. Hubert High School for Girls (1955-1959). Later, while in Community, Sister earned an A.B. degree in Elem. Education from Immaculata College and an M.A. degree in Religious Studies from St. Charles Seminary.

Patricia entered the Community on July 16, 1959, received her habit and her religious name, Sister Charles Joseph, on January 18, 1960, and pronounced her First Vows on January 18, 1962. When the Sisters had the opportunity to return to the use of their baptismal name, Sister Patricia chose to do so.

Shortly after First Profession, Sister began her ministry of teaching. From January 1962 through the school year ended in 2009, Sister taught children in elementary grades, middle grades and high school students. Sister taught students at St. Francis Xavier Philadelphia, St. Rose of Lima Eddystone, St. Raphael Philadelphia, Queen of Heaven Erlton NJ, Sacred Heart Manoa, Lourdes Regional High School Shamokin, Cardinal Dougherty High School Philadelphia, Holy Name High School Reading, and Immaculata High School Somerville NJ. Sister Patricia was known to be an excellent teacher at every level of instruction. Sister Patricia next served as an assistant in Immaculate Heart Convent at St. Hubert.

Following in this pattern of service, Sister went to serve our Sisters in Camilla Hall in August 2011 where she faithfully served as a member of the Apostolate of Prayer/Assistance Team.

Sister Patricia is survived by her loving IHM Community, her niece, Meredith Cabrey Nascimento, grandnephews and a grandniece. Sister is predeceased by her parents Charles Joseph and Dorothy Irene (Adamik) Cabrey, and her brother Charles Joseph, Jr.

Reverend John Burger, S.S.C. celebrated Sister Patricia Cabrey’s Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 10:30 a.m.
