Sister Margaret Mary Mahon, SSJ
Sister Margaret Mary Mahon, (formerly Sister Catherine Ann,) age 86, died on July 19, 2025, at Saint Joseph Villa.
The daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (nee Morgan) Mahon, she attended St. Rita Grade School and St. Peter High School in Staten Island, NY.
In September 1957 she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1965.
Sister Margaret ministered in the dioceses of Newark, Philadelphia and Trenton.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Margaret (nee Morgan) Mahon and her brother, Edward and sister, Catherine Clynes. She is survived by her niece, Lissa Perrone and members of her Congregation, the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Philadelphia.
Visitation by relatives and friends will begin at 9:30 am on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Saint Joseph Villa in Flourtown. A Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Services will be live streamed from the Saint Joseph Villa website www.stjosephvilla.org.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sister’s name to Saint Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave, Flourtown, Pa 19031.
