The Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Catholic Charities Appeal (CCA) raised $8,795,846 in 2024, according to its newly released annual report. The campaign drew 37,111 individual gifts, supporting more than 100 charitable ministries across the five-county region.
The report notes that 4,102 donors returned to the Appeal after a one-year absence, and 657 new donors joined the effort. Additionally, 51 parishes exceeded their fundraising goals.
The CCA, the Archdiocese’s largest annual fundraiser, benefits programs that serve one in five residents in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
According to the report, more than 57% of the funds were directed toward social services, including housing assistance and food programs. The remaining funds supported special education, evangelization and parish life, mission parishes, and care for infirm and retired clergy.
The report also highlights parishes that raised over $100,000 and individual donors whose gifts ranged from $2,500 to over $50,000. It features personal testimonies from beneficiaries and outlines key events and initiatives that helped drive the campaign’s success.
The 2024 appeal was powered by The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia, an independent nonprofit that manages charitable giving for the Archdiocese.
