The Archdiocese of Philadelphia Pilgrimage to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. will take place on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, as part of the Archdiocesan Jubilee Year, “Pilgrims of Hope.”

The day will begin with arrival at 10 a.m. in the Great Upper Church, followed by a seated overview tour and a welcome from Monsignor Vito Buonanno, Director of Pilgrimages.

A penance service led by Father Dennis Gill will take place at 11:15 a.m., with confessions available from 11:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The afternoon will include Marian devotions at 1 p.m., exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in the Crypt Church from 2 to 4 p.m., and a carillon concert at 3:45 p.m.

The pilgrimage will conclude with a 4 p.m. Mass in the Great Upper Church, celebrated by Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez, with welcome remarks by Basilica Rector Monsignor Walter Rossi.

Parishes, religious communities, institutions, and schools are encouraged to join.
