Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez and Auxiliary Bishop Keith J. Chylinski joined hundreds of students on Sept. 17 to kick off the 2025–2026 academic year across the Archdiocese of Philadelphia at Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor. The event served as an official welcome for the more than 47,000 students attending the 102 parish and regional elementary schools, 15 high schools, and three schools of special education in the region.

The celebration wrapped up with a pep rally featuring the Carroll band, cheerleaders, and a mascot race where Roman Catholic’s “Cahillite” claimed victory. Watch a replay of the event below. View a photo gallery from the event here.
