The Archdiocesan Office for Black Catholics will host the St. Martin de Porres Mini-Conference and Mass on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Shrine of St. John Neumann in Philadelphia.

The event will celebrate the legacy of St. Martin de Porres, the patron saint of racial harmony and social justice, through a day of faith, culture, and community engagement. Highlights include a dramatic performance by Brother Herman Johnson, OP, portraying the saint’s life of humility and service, and musical presentations featuring Peruvian and African rhythms led by Baba Rich, reflecting St. Martin’s diverse heritage.

Fr. Victor LaRoche, OP, of Xavier University, will also speak during the conference, which is free to attend with registration. Lunch will be provided.
