Parishes across the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will participate in an In-Pew Commitment Weekend for the Catholic Charities Appeal of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CCA) on the weekend of Oct. 11 – 12.
The weekend invites parishioners to join in a collective effort to support vital ministries serving the region’s most vulnerable people. Printed commitment cards will be available in English and Spanish in church pews, offering parishioners the opportunity to consider their gift. Contributions can be made using the pledge card envelope or by scanning a QR code that links directly to the Appeal’s secure giving page.
The Appeal is the Archdiocese’s largest annual fundraising initiative, reaching one in five residents throughout the five-county metropolitan area.
This year’s Appeal, themed “Giving Hope to All,” aims to raise $10 million to support over 100 ministries and programs that provide essential services such as food, shelter, education, and pastoral care across the five-county region.
In 2024, CCA raised nearly $8.8 million from more than 37,000 gifts.
The Appeal supports five key areas: special education, social services, evangelization, mission parishes, and infirmed and retired priests.
