Hundreds from across the Archdiocese of Philadelphia gathered Oct. 5 at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia for a closing Mass to celebrate the 25th anniversary of St. Katharine Drexel’s canonization. The Mass, led by Archbishop Nelson Pérez and fellow clergy, marked the close of a Jubilee Year honoring the Philadelphia-born saint, who dedicated her life to serving marginalized communities and founded the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament.
