Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez celebrated a memorial Mass Oct. 16 at the Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, marking five years since the passing of Maria Middleton, a young Catholic from St. John the Baptist Parish in Ottsville who died in 2020 after a serious illness.
Joined by her parents, 10 priests, and over 500 attendees, including classmates from Villa Joseph Marie High School, the archbishop honored her legacy of faith. Her final words, “Think Hope,” now title a book published by Ascension Press and inspire the Think Hope Foundation, a nonprofit promoting faith and outreach. (Photos by Sarah Webb)
