The Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Philadelphia will welcome His Eminence Cardinal Daniel DiNardo, Archbishop Emeritus of Galveston–Houston, for a special evening on Thursday, Nov. 13. Hosted by the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia in collaboration with the Durandus Institute for Sacred Liturgy & Music, the evening aims to encourage ecumenical reflection on the Nicene Creed’s meaning for today’s Church.
The gathering will include Byzantine Vespers celebrated by Metropolitan Archbishop Borys Gudziak, a presentation on “The Significance of the Council of Nicaea: Pastoral Care & Theology” by Cardinal DiNardo, and response by Rev. Dr. John Chryssavgis, Archdeacon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and Executive Director of the Huffington Ecumenical Institute at Holy Cross School of Theology. Archbishop Gudziak will guide the evening’s conversation as moderator, and a reception will follow.
