Sister Catherine McConnell SSJ, (formerly S. Regina Vincent,) age 89, died on November 4, 2025, at Saint Joseph Villa.

The daughter of the late Vincent and Catherine (Campbell) McConnell, she attended Holy Child Grade School and Little Flower High School.

In September 1955 she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1963.

Sister Mary ministered in the dioceses of Allentown, Camden, Philadelphia and Washington D.C.

She is survived by her sister Paulette Schaumann, her niece Jane and nephew Robert. She is also survived by members of her congregation, the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Philadelphia.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet her family on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 9:30 AM. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 AM. Services will be live streamed from the Saint Joseph Villa website www.stjosephvilla.org.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sister’s name to Saint Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA 19031.
