Sister Loretta Kathleen McGuckin, SSJ
Sister Loretta Kathleen McGuckin SSJ, age 86, died on November 5, 2025, age 86 at Saint Joseph Villa.
The daughter of the late John and Kathleen (nee Bradley), she attended St. Bernard Grade School and St. Hubert High School.
In September 1956 she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1964.
Sister Loretta ministered in the dioceses of Allentown, Arlington, Baltimore, Harrisburg and Philadelphia.
She is preceded in death by her brothers John, James, Thomas, and Bill, her sisters Kathleen McColgan, Claire Czarnecki, and Mary Anne Boyd. She is survived by her brother Joseph, sister Marge Raymond, many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and members of her Congregation, the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Philadelphia.
Services will be November 14, 2025. Viewing begins at 9:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Services will be live streamed from the Saint Joseph Villa website www.stjosephvilla.org.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sister’s name to Saint Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA 19031.
