Sister Mary Rose Dugan SSJ, age 93, died on November 3, 2025, at Saint Joseph Villa.

The daughter of the late  Peter and Ellen (nee Ferry) Dugan, she attended

St. Andrew Grade School and Holy Family Academy in Bayonne, NJ.

In September 1949 she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1957.

Sister Mary Rose ministered in the Diocese of Philadelphia.

She is preceded in death by her brother Peter, sisters Kathleen, Dolores, and Mae Valdara, and Helen Donovan. She is survived by her nieces, nephews, and members of her Congregation, the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Philadelphia.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet her family on Monday, November 17, 2025, beginning at 9:30 AM. A Memorial Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Services will be livestreamed from the Saint Joseph Villa website, www.stjosephvilla.org
