Nearly 9,000 donors across the Archdiocese of Philadelphia contributed a record-breaking $2,213,146 during this year’s #iGiveCatholic campaign on GivingTuesday, supporting parishes, schools, and charitable ministries throughout the five-county region.
The fundraising effort was locally led by The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia in partnership with the archdiocese. Both the St. Charles Borromeo Seminary Appeal and the Catholic Charities Appeal ranked among the top five beneficiaries nationwide for total dollars raised.
Since 2020, #iGiveCatholic has generated more than $9.6 million for Catholic entities in the archdiocese. The initiative, recognized nationally as the official Catholic Giving Day, is celebrated annually on GivingTuesday to promote a culture of Catholic philanthropy and strengthen sustainable fundraising capacity.
Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez praised the milestone, calling the generosity “a powerful reflection of faith in action.”
“I was thrilled to learn that this year’s #iGiveCatholic initiative set a new record in our local Church, raising more than $2.2 million for parishes, schools, and charitable ministries throughout our local Church,” he said.
“On behalf of all those whose lives will be touched by your generosity, I extend deep and prayerful gratitude. Your support is a powerful reflection of faith in action and a reminder of the light we are called to be for others. May God bless you abundantly during this holy season of Advent and always.”
Ted Qualli, president and CEO of The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia, added that the achievement “reflects the depth of commitment and compassion within our Catholic community.”
