St. John Fisher Parish in Boothwyn collected nearly 1,000 gifts and dozens of gift cards through its annual Advent giving tree drive. The gifts were recently distributed and will continue to support families and individuals in need throughout the winter months.

Beneficiaries included those served by Emmaus Home, the Bernadine Center, Mother’s Home, and Chester Eastside Ministry.

Parishioner Sue Iocco coordinated the effort, providing leadership and organization that helped ensure its success.

In a Facebook post, parish leaders described the outpouring of generosity and love from parishioners as “overwhelmingly heartwarming,” and expressed gratitude to all who helped make the event a success.

They noted that the drive added “a bit of sunshine to a holiday season where there may have been none for some.”
