The Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office for Persons with Disabilities is offering a free, two‑day training series on disability awareness and mental health inclusion for clergy, religious, parish staff, volunteers, and all who serve in ministry. Presented in partnership with the National Catholic Partnership on Disability (NCPD), the program provides foundational formation to help parishes more fully welcome and accompany individuals of all abilities.
Two sessions are available at no cost:
- English‑language training: March 18–19, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., at SS. Simon and Jude’s Meehan Center in West Chester. Participants will receive a comprehensive introduction to the Church’s vision for disability inclusion, along with practical strategies for supporting parishioners with diverse needs. Registration is free and available here. View the flyer here.
- Spanish‑language training: March 14 and 21, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., at St. Ambrose Parish in the Deacon Jose Mendez Pastoral Center, Philadelphia. This two‑day program mirrors the English session and offers culturally responsive formation for those serving Spanish‑speaking communities. Registration is free and available here.
