St. Patrick Parish in Philadelphia will offer a full schedule of Lenten liturgies and devotions, featuring guest preachers who will reflect on the mystery of the Eucharist in preparation for Easter.

  • Feb. 24 – Bishop William Byrne of Springfield, MA: “The Eucharist: Happiness 101.”
  • March 3 – Father Timothy Tarnacki, Associate Director of the Office of Young Adult Ministry: “The Eucharist: The Total Gift of Self.”
  • March 10 – Bishop John O. Barres of Rockville Centre: “The Holy Eucharist as the True Way of All Our Loves upon Earth.”
  • March 17 – Solemnity of Saint Patrick, 7 p.m., with Father Jonah Teller, O.P., preaching on “Building a Vibrant Eucharistic Community.”

The parish will also host its annual Forty Hours Devotions from March 22–24, led by Father Stephen DeLacy, Director of the Office for Young Adult Ministry. This year’s theme, “Our Baptismal Identity and the Eucharist,” will guide three days of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, beginning with Solemn Exposition on Sunday and concluding Tuesday evening with First Vespers of the Annunciation, a Eucharistic procession, and Benediction.
