The Lay Augustinians will launch a four‑part virtual series on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m., exploring the historical development of the Order of St. Augustine from the fifth to the 15th century. The opening session, “Community as Known to St. Augustine,” examines Augustine’s understanding of Christian community and the early reception of his thought in North Africa, Rome, and southern Gaul.

The series traces how Augustinian ideals evolved across shifting social and ecclesial contexts, highlighting key documents, formative events, and the emergence of early communal structures inspired by Augustine.

The program is moderated by Dr. D.P. Curtin, an Irish‑American psychologist, translator, and theologian whose work has appeared in numerous Catholic publications. One registration provides access to all four sessions; new registrants receive the Zoom link upon confirmation.
