
Reverend Monsignor Philip C. Ricci
Reverend Monsignor Philip C. Ricci, Pastor Emeritus, Mary Mother of the Redeemer Parish, North Wales, died on Saturday, February 14, 2026.
Monsignor Ricci was born on September 26, 1935, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is the son of the late John Ricci and the late Emilia Rossi. Monsignor Ricci attended Conshohocken, Grade School and Conshohocken High School, before entering Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary.
Monsignor Ricci was ordained on May 22, 1965, at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Philadelphia by Most Reverend John J. Krol. Monsignor Ricciserved as Parochial Vicar, Our Mother of Mercy Chapel, Philadelphia; Saint Joseph Parish, Ambler; Saint Stanislaus Parish, Lansdale; Saint Anastasia Parish, Newtown Square; Saint Margaret Parish, Narberth. He also served as a Spiritual Director at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary. In September 1987 he was appointed the founding Pastor, Mary Mother of the Redeemer Parish, North Wales, and named Pastor Emeritus, in June 2010.
The Reception of the Body will be held at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Church, in North Wales, on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 4:30 PM followed by a viewing until 8:00 PM. Another viewing will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 9:00 AM followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. The principal celebrant will be Most Reverend Nelson J. Pérez. Concelebrating the Funeral Mass will be Reverend Dennis Fedak, Reverend Thomas Heron, Reverend Monsignor John Conway, Reverend Matthew Guckin, Reverend Christopher Walsh, Reverend Michael Speziale, Reverend Thomas Gardner, Reverend William Teverzczuk and Reverend Gasper Genuardi. Reverend Dennis Carbonaro will be the homilist.
Monsignor Ricci is survived by his brothers, John and Francis and several nieces and nephews.
Interment will be at Saint Matthew Cemetery in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.
