Sister Clare Halloran SSJ, (formerly Sister Miriam Kathleen,) age 85, died on January 28, 2026, at Saint Joseph Villa.

The daughter of the late John Joseph and Eva Mary (nee Lucarini) Halloran, she attended Corpus Christi Grade School and John W. Hallahan High School.

In September 1959 she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1967.

Sister Clare ministered in the dioceses of Baltimore, Harrisburg, Philadelphia and Wilmington, DE.

She is preceded in death by and her brother John. She is survived by her sister, Kathleen Kennedy, many loving nieces and nephews, their extended families and members of her Congregation the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Philadelphia.

Friends are invited to St. Joseph Villa beginning at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Services will be live streamed from the Saint Joseph Villa website www.stjosephvilla.org.
