The Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul and the Shrine of St. Katharine Drexel will host a Lenten Retreat Day on Saturday, March 14, offering the faithful an opportunity to enter more deeply into the mystery of Christ’s Passion under the theme “The Cross, Our Hope.”
Father Philip G. Bochanski, archdiocesan Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia, will lead the retreat, which will present two spiritual conferences: “Hope in the Desert: Lessons from the Exodus” and “Hope in the Garden: Lessons from Gethsemane.” The day will include Midmorning Prayer, quiet time for reflection, the availability of the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation, Holy Mass, and a concluding Holy Hour with Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament.
Those wishing to attend may register by contacting Sister Marie Faustina, R.S.M., Delegate for Consecrated Life, at sr.mfaustina@archphila.org. A suggested donation of $20 may be offered on the day of the retreat.
