Sister Josephine Wade SSJ, age 86, (formerly S. Regina Josephine,) died on March 6, 2026, at Saint Joseph Villa.

The daughter of the late Luke and Bridget (nee Sullivan) Wade, she attended St. Andrew Grade School and Holy Family Academy in Bayonne, New Jersey.

In September 1957 she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1965.

Sister Josephine ministered in the dioceses of Camden, Newark, Philadelphia, Trenton and Wilmington, DE.

She is preceded in death by her brothers Joseph, Thomas, Luke, and Robert Wade. She is survived by her sisters Mary and Catherine Boyle, her brother Peter Wade, many nieces and nephews, and members of her Congregation the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Philadelphia.

Friends are invited to Saint Joseph Villa beginning at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. A Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Services will be livestreamed from the Saint Joseph Villa website www.stjosephvilla.org.
