Irish heritage and tradition were celebrated Sunday, March 15 as Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez and hundreds of participants marked Philadelphia’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Mass and parade. The archbishop served as principal celebrant and homilist for the 2026 Saint Patrick’s Day Commemorative Mass at Saint Patrick Parish at 20th and Locust Streets, joined by Father Kevin Gallagher, pastor of Saint Denis Parish in Havertown and chaplain to the parade.
Music for the liturgy was provided by the Bishop Shanahan High School Choir and cantor Karen Boyce McCollum before the celebration continued with the parade through Center City. (Photos by Sarah Webb)
