Bishop Shanahan High School announced Peggy Evans as its new varsity girls’ volleyball head coach, with her tenure set to begin in the Fall 2026 season.
Evans brings extensive experience at both the high school and club levels, as well as a strong playing background. A standout collegiate athlete at Juniata College, Evans earned NCAA Regional All-Star honors and All-Conference recognition as a setter. She also holds the school’s career record for aces.
Evans has spent more than 15 years coaching volleyball, including head coaching roles at Villa Maria Academy and with club programs Valley Forge VBC, Sparks VBC, and Royal Legends. In 2022, she was named Chester County Coach of the Year.
Throughout her coaching career, Evans has guided championship-level teams and helped develop student-athletes who have gone on to compete at the collegiate level. She has also earned USA Volleyball’s CAP II certification, a distinction held by fewer than 5 percent of coaches nationwide.
“At Bishop Shanahan, my goal is to build a program that reflects passion, accountability, and pride,” said Evans. “I am committed to developing not only strong volleyball players, but confident, resilient young women who represent their school and community with integrity.”
