See scenes from April 19 as the Connelly Foundation hosted a Mass and reception at the National Shrine of St. John Neumann honoring its Neumann Scholars class of 2026 and welcoming the incoming class of 2030 to archdiocesan secondary schools. Archbishop Nelson Pérez celebrated Mass, installing 30 incoming eighth‑grade scholars and recognizing 33 graduating seniors. Families were greeted by the Mummers, and student volunteers assisted as altar servers.

Initiated in 1995, the Foundation’s Neumann Scholarship Program identifies academically talented students in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s parochial schools through an examination and provides four‑year scholarships to attend archdiocesan high schools. (Photos by Sarah Webb)
