The Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office for Child and Youth Protection will host a free, one-hour virtual workshop, “Walking Alongside: Becoming a Grief-Informed Ally for Children & Teens,” on Nov. 20 at 1:00 p.m.

The webinar, held in recognition of Children’s Grief Awareness Month, is designed for educators, counselors, administrators, and other professionals who work with children and teens. Presenters Kelly Petersohn, LCSW, a bereavement specialist with more than 16 years of experience in childhood bereavement, and Sarah Behm Guillén, director of the Eluna Resource Center, will discuss how grief affects young people differently, share practical strategies for supporting grieving children and teens, and highlight resources available to help families navigate grief and loss.
