PHILADELPHIA – Students from LaSalle Academy, Mother of spanine Grace, Visitation B.V.M. and St. Laurentius schools competed in the ninth annual Great Fishtown Spelling Bee at Shissler Recreation Center Oct. 28. Students in grades three through eight from 11 public, private and Catholic schools participated in the event.

WILLOW GROVE – Our Lady of Confidence Day School in Willow Grove sponsored Grandparents and Older Friends Day Oct. 20.The day began with the students entertaining their grandparents and older friends with songs and demonstrating their knowledge in social studies, geography and reading.
