Historic graveyard hosts tour, clean-up session

Friends of St. Joachim Cemetery in the city's Frankford section will gather on Aug. 17 to learn more about the final resting place for more than 2,400 souls, most of them Irish-Catholic immigrants. Volunteers will also trim back shrubs and reminisce over soft pretzels.

Immaculata hosts annual golf invitational

Now in its 44th year, the Oct. 8 tournament will raise monies for the Immaculata Fund, which provides scholarship and financial aid for the university's students.
