Sister of St. Joseph Ann Edgar Hess, formerly Mary Dorothy Hess, died Sept. 12. She was 69.
She was born in Bayonne, N.J., and entered the Sisters of St. Joseph from St. Andrew Parish in Bayonne Sept. 8, 1959.
She served in the Archdioceses of Philadelphia, Newark, N.J. and Baltimore, Md.
She was predeceased by her parents, Edgar and Anne Ursula Reilly Hess, and her sister Kathleen Nowicki.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 20 at St. Joseph Villa. Interment was at the community cemetery.
She is survived by her brother Edgar, her sisters Nancy Langan and Ginny Hosie, her brother-in-law Donald Nowicki, nieces, nephews and members of her community.
