Sister of St. Joseph Joan Riethmiller, formerly Sister Richard Christi, died Sept. 11. She was 70.
She was born in Philadelphia, and entered the Sisters of St. Joseph from St. James Parish in Elkins Park.
She served in the Archdioceses of Philadelphia and Camden, N.J.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 16 at St. Joseph Villa.
She is survived by her parents, Robert and Mildren Homan Riethmiller, her sisters Carol Kirr, Rosemary Ladd and Millie Gondek, as well as nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews as well as members of her community.
