St. Andrew School, Newtown, will host the following Catholic Schools Week events, in addition to a canned food drive all week:

 

Sunday, Jan. 27
Opening Mass and open house, 10 a.m. to noon

Monday, Jan. 28
Thank you cards will be written to various people who serve in our school community.
9:30 a.m. — Puppet show for preschool and Kindergarten.
10 a.m. — Generation Life presentation for grades 7 and 8; Winter Games for grades 1 and 2.
Chik FilA Night, 3:30-8 p.m.

Tuesday, Jan. 29
9 am. — Respect assembly for grades 1 to 5.
10:30 a.m. — Heads Up assembly for grades 6 to 8.
1:45 p.m. — Family Feud game
Spelling Bees are being conducted in classrooms. Winners will go on to the school-wide spelling bee in the spring.

Wednesday, Jan. 30
9:15 a.m. – all-school Liturgy.
2 p.m. – Bingo.

Thursday, Jan. 31
Winter Games continue for grades 3, 4 and Kindergarten
Class Buddy Day — a time to get together with buddies from a different grade.
6:30 p.m. — Math Night

Friday, Feb. 1
7:45 a.m. — Breakfast for bus drivers
9 a.m. — Volleyball game, teachers vs. 8th grade
11:30 a.m. — Teacher Appreciation Luncheon
2 p.m. — Pep rally
