CatholicPhilly.com picked up six national awards for outstanding Catholic journalism at the Catholic Media Convention June 3 in St. Louis, Mo.

The Catholic Press Association of the United States and Canada recognizes the best work of Catholic newspapers, magazine and websites each year and has in the past awarded CatholicPhilly.com numerous honors.

This year the association awarded CatholicPhilly.com a second-place honor for its print edition last September welcoming the World Meeting of Families to Philadelphia and the visit of Pope Francis to the city.

The official news website of the archdiocese also garnered the press association’s second-place award for best general publisher website in the U.S.

The newsletter of CatholicPhilly.com, sent to more than 5,700 subscribers free via email twice a week, also received a second place award. (You can sign up for the newsletter here.)
