Sister Charlotte Therese McGrillis, S.S.J., died May 27 at St. Joseph Villa, Flourtown, in the 80th year of her religious life. She was 97 years old.
The daughter of the late Mark and Mary Arnold McGrillis, Sister Charlotte entered the Sisters of St. Joseph, Chestnut Hill, in September 1937 from Telford and professed her final vows August 1945. She ministered in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the dioceses of Allentown, Camden and Harrisburg.
She was the sister of the late Sister Marie St. Mark McGrillis, S.S.J., and is survived by cousins and members of her congregation.
Sister Charlotte’s funeral Mass was celebrated Thursday, June 1 at St. Joseph Villa.
