Sister Dorothy Patricia Quinn, S.S.J., died June 6 at St. Joseph Villa, Flourtown, at age 91.
Daughter of the late Patrick and Dorothy Quinn, she was born in Philadelphia and attended Nativity B.V.M. Grade School in the city’s Port Richmond section and Little Flower High School. She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph in September 1944 and professed her final vows in August 1952.
Sister Dorothy ministered in the archdioceses of Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, and the dioceses of Allentown, Camden and Trenton.
She is the sister of Elizabeth Foley and the late Daniel Quinn and Anne Poter. She is survived by 16 nieces and nephews and members of her congregation, the Sisters of St. Joseph.
The funeral Mass was celebrated June 11 at St. Joseph Villa.
