Sister Regina Raymond Conway, S.S.J. (formerly Sister Frances Eleanor), age 82, died Aug. 11 at St. Joseph Villa, Flourtown. She was in the 64th year of her religious life.
The daughter of the late Frank and Regina Conway, she attended Immaculate Conception Grade School in Jenkintown and Notre Dame and St. Basil Academy High Schools.
In September 1955 she entered the Sisters of St. Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1963.
Sister Regina ministered in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the dioceses of Allentown, Camden, Paterson and Wilmington.
She is survived by her sister Dolores Conway and the late Mary Theresa Keough, Regina P. Morris, Patricia Conway and Sister Albertine Conway, S.S.J. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and members of her congregation, the Sisters of St. Joseph.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 16 at St. Joseph Villa.
Donations may be made in Sister Regina’s name to St. Joseph Villa, 110 Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA 19031-1898.
