A new tradition will begin this Thanksgiving Day as Roman Catholic High School will face Archbishop Carroll High School in the inaugural Turkey Bowl football game.

The varsity teams will meet Thursday, Nov. 28 at 10 a.m. at the A.A. Garthwaite Stadium in Conshohocken.

The schools entered into a two-year agreement announced Oct. 15, with Roman being the home team this year and Archbishop Carroll in 2020.

All students, parents and alumni of the schools are invited to attend.

In preparation for the game on Thanksgiving Day, Roman will host the Carroll football team, coaches and administration in a pre-Thanksgiving breakfast on Monday, Nov. 25 at Roman Catholic High School.

Roman is located in Center City Philadelphia, and Carroll is in Radnor, Delaware County.

Organizers of the game hope that as Americans gather to give thanks to God for his blessings, this meeting of the schools will enhance the fraternity shared between the student-athletes.
