Villa Maria Academy High School to graduate 103 seniors
Posted on May 22nd, 2013Villa Maria Academy High School, 370 Old Lincoln Highway in Malvern, will graduate 103 seniors at a baccalaureate Mass and graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 1, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Church, 120 St. Elizabeth Drive, Uwchlan.
The valedictorian is Mary Elizabeth Shea. The salutatorian is Cailey Megan Bice.

Alvare talk on women, religious freedom, draws hundreds to seminary

Approximately 240 people came to hear the lecture of noted Catholic speaker Helen Alvare May 14 at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary.
Alvare’s talk, “Women’s Freedom and Religious Freedom: Collaboration or Clash?” was followed by a question and answer session with the audience, which included Archbishop Charles Chaput.
Nazareth Academy to graduate 106 seniors June 2

Nazareth Academy High School, 4001 Grant Avenue in Philadelphia, will welcome 106 graduating seniors to its graduation ceremonies Sunday, June 2, at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Family University Center, Philadelphia. Sister Mary Joan Jacobs, C.S.F.N., principal of Nazareth Academy High School, will preside. The welcome address will be given by Molly Theresa Scullion, class president. The valedictorian is Victoria Christine Szafara. The salutatorian is Michelle Ann Hillsman. The Baccalaureate Mass will be celebrated the same day at 9:45 a.m. at Nazareth Academy High School Chapel. Conestoga Bank donated $10,000 to SS. John Neumann and Maria Goretti Catholic High School, South Philadelphia, utilizing Pennsylvania’s new Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit program.

On Friday, April 19th, students from Cardinal O’Hara High School came together to pray for those effected by the Boston Marathon bombing. Cheltenham Catholic school students enjoy trip to nature center
Posted on March 6th, 2013The student Prayer Partners of Presentation B.V.M. School in Cheltenham visited the Silver Lake Nature Center in Bristol Feb. 20 for a field trip. They watched sap drip from a maple tree and were able to taste it. Students used stethoscopes to hear the sap running inside the tree.
