Drexel Hill – Holy Child Academy received a $15,000 grant from the Connelly Foundation Sept. 24 to advance the school’s mission of providing a competitive academic program and to help the school continue implementing Web 2.0 technology. The awarded grant is restricted to purchase Dell netbooks for the middle school.
“With this grant we will be able to build a global classroom and support cooperative learning while also developing independent, self directed student groups,” said Carol McGarvey, middle school director.
“Our plan to implement netbooks for sixth, seventh and eighth grade students will address the technological energy that is exploding in those classrooms,” added Anita Coll added,
