PHILADELPHIA – Mercy Vocational High School students met with more than 150 business people during the fourth annual corporate REACH Breakfast Oct. 8. Eight students moved the crowd to a standing ovation by sharing stories of their past, current accomplishments and future aspirations. Each student represented one of MVHS’s career and technical education shops, including business, carpentry, computer technology, cosmetology, culinary, electricity and the nursing assistant training program.
For 60 Years, Mercy Vocational High School has provided a values-based education to those students whose educational and career goals are best served by a quality, comprehensive career and technical academic secondary school program. Students acquire marketable skills that enable them to enter into their career vocation immediately or to pursue post-secondary education. Moreover, their values-based education helps students to develop an attitude of service to others in the workplace.
