Sister Margaret Mary Ryan, S.B.S., who was born in County Tipperary, Ireland, in 1921, died Sept. 9 in her 92nd year and 71st year of her religious profession at the Motherhouse of the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament in Bensalem.

Her first teaching assignment was at Holy Providence School in Bensalem. From there her assignments brought her to missions throughout the United States. In 1993, she returned to the Motherhouse to provide support services, which included accompanying sisters to doctors or to the hospital where she would be a source of comfort and support to the sisters.

Sister Margaret Mary’s niece was able to Skype with relatives in Ireland so they could participate in her wake and funeral. Sister Margaret Mary will be missed by her family, her religious community and her friends.
