Reverend John V. Oulds, Pastor Emeritus, Saint Joseph Parish, Coatesville, died on Saturday, October 10, 2026.

Father Oulds was born on June 29, 1941, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is the son of the late John V. Oulds and the late Cecilia Buczkowski. Father Oulds attended Saint Matthew and Saint Timothy Parochial Schools, Philadelphia, and Father Judge High School Philadelphia, before entering Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary.

Father Oulds was ordained on May 18, 1968, at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Philadelphia by His Eminence John Cardinal Krol. Father Oulds served as Parochial Vicar, Epiphany of Our Lord Parish, Plymouth Meeting; Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Philadelphia; Nativity B.V.M. Parish, Philadelphia; Saint Louis Parish, Yeadon; Holy Innocents Parish, Philadelphia; and Corpus Christi Parish, Lansdale. He served as Pastor at Saint Stanislaus Kostka Parish, Coatesville, and in 1999 he was appointed Pastor at Saint Joseph Parish, Coatesville, and was named Pastor Emeritus in June 2016.

The Reception of the Body will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 9:15 AM in the Chapel of Villa Saint Joseph, 1436 Lansdowne Avenue, Darby, followed by a viewing. Most Reverend Nelson J. Pérez will celebrate the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Concelebrating the Funeral Mass will be Reverend Gasper A. Genuardi, Reverend Gerald D. Canavan, Reverend Monsignor Thomas A. Murray, and Reverend Monsignor Vincent Walsh will be the homilist.

Father Oulds is survived by his cousins.

The burial will be held on Monday, October 19, 2026, at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Penndel, Pennsylvania.
