St. Katharine of Siena School, Wayne, will host the following activities:

 

Sunday, Jan. 27

Open house, 12:30 to 2 p.m. – Eighth graders will speak at all parish Masses to invite parishioners to the open house, at which school alumni will speak about the influence that St. Katharine of Siena School made on their life. Tours through the school will be led by parents, current students and alumns. Presentations on forensics, science, the First in Math program and Literature Circles are included.

Monday, Jan. 28 

Volunteer Day — Students with their grade “buddies” write letters of appreciation to the school’s many volunteers.

Tuesday, Jan. 29

Seventh and Eighth Grade Career Day – Alumni and parents come back to present career choices to students. The day will also feature a spelling bee assembly.

Wednesday, Jan. 30

A speaker will present on nutrition, and students will enjoy “Fear Factor” about unknown vegetables during recess.

Thursday, Jan. 31

Sterlen Barr, a motivational speaker and rapper, will make a presentation to students with his team.

Friday, Feb. 1

Closing Mass at 9 a.m., with blessing of the faculty. Later the spelling bee finals will be held along with the faculty/student basketball game.
